Lucknow: An FIR into the fatal UPSRTC bus accident on the Hardoi highway in Lucknow’s Tikaitganj area said the tragedy took place when the bus, being driven at high speed and rashly, collided with a tractor-tanker near the road divider, lost balance, hit roadside labourers, and overturned into a ditch.The FIR has been lodged at Kakori police station by complainant Chandrapal Singh of Mathura. Singh’s son, Nardev Singh, employed as a supervisor with RP Infraventure Ltd–Sobti Infra Ltd (JV), was working at the site along with co-workers Sanjeev Sagar of Badaun, Baburam alias Ramesh, Jagdish (both from Pilibhit), and Dilshad of Kakori. All of them died in the accident.The FIR states that the bus driver fled the scene, following which a case was registered under relevant BNS sections —281 (rash driving), 125 a (negligent act), 106 (1) (causing death by negligence) against him.DCP, West Zone, Vishwajeet Srivastava, said police have seized the damaged bus for mechanical inspection and launched efforts to trace the driver.
