In 2024, the case of Tulsi Patel came to light when the Alpharetta police arrested the 22-year-old former childcare worker on allegations of molesting a 4-year-old girl at the Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy on Webb Bridge Road. The child was in the care of Patel and when her father came to pick her, she complained of pain and pointed to Patel. Blood was later found in the child’s underwear and Patel was arrested.More such cases came out in the open when the investigators went through the surveillance footage of the daycare center. Police said Patel was accused of sexually and physically abusing 12 children, ages 3 and 4, during the approximately two weeks she worked at the Alpharetta center.Two families who each had 4-year-old daughters at that time filed lawsuits alleging that Patel sexually assaulted their children at Kids ‘R’ Kids in Alpharetta.Miami Herald reported in 2024 that Patel’s previous employment was with Cornerstone Schools, another daycare, and Angela Martin, the president of Cornerstone Schools, was aware of Patel’s conduct. Martin was also arrested and charged with failure to report and reckless conduct, WSB-TV reported.“Cornerstone and Martin were aware of previous abuse at their facility and did nothing to stop the abuse from happening again by their former employee Patel at Kids R Kids,” the lawsuits saidPatel was granted bond in January 2025 after she spent six months in custody.

Combined sentence of life plus 122 years behind bars

WSB-TV reported that Patel appeared in Fulton County court Tuesday, where prosecutors said she faces a potential combined sentence of life plus 122 years if convicted on the charges against her. Prosecutors have offered Patel a 25-year sentence as a plea deal with 20 years to be served in confinement. . Under the proposed agreement, she would also be required to register as a sex offender and would not be permitted to have unsupervised contact with children.Patel has time until November 1 to decide whether she would accept the deal.
